Meet Our Senior Leadership Team
At Leap Partners, we’re people serving people—not just a company buying companies.
John is the CEO of Leap Partners. He has led Leap Partners to become one of the fastest growing groups of HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical companies in the Southeast. John and the rest of the Leap Partners team have completed 15 acquisitions over the past two years on their mission to build a world-class home service company that puts its owners, employees, and customers first.
John graduated from the US Naval Academy and began his career in the US Navy as a propulsion engineer. After leaving the Navy, John continued his career in engineering before he was eventually drawn to home service. He has now spent the majority of his career building and operating various home service companies with a unique approach to growth and acquisitions.
This unique approach to finding, investing in, and then empowering business owners has enabled John and his team to build a fast-growing group of companies while maintaining a high level of owner satisfaction and employee retention.
John earned his MBA from Clemson University and is an ASE Certified mechanic. Three grandchildren are enough to keep John hopping.
Patrick is the Chief Financial Officer for Leap Partners. Although he started his career in accounting, his role has evolved over the years to include accounting, operations, and acquisitions. He leads all acquisitions for Leap and takes pride in helping owners navigate the process as quickly and seamlessly as possible.
Patrick grew up in a hard-working, blue-collar family in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. During college, he worked as a service technician for a large restaurant group performing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other repairs in restaurants throughout Tennessee.
Patrick graduated from the University of Tennessee with an Accounting degree in 2001. He is an Eagle Scout, a CPA, and has been on multiple boards for technology and home service companies. Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife Kendra and their three children, camping, and turning wrenches on his classic Ford Mustangs.
Alex has been fortunate to lead some of the country’s most admired brands across many categories — from Axe Deodorant to Dyson to Miller Lite to Blue Moon. More recently he has worked in home service industries setting up high-performance digital marketing programs. At Leap Partners, Alex and his team specialize in helping owners fine-tune and optimize their marketing investments to generate the highest returns, with a large focus on digital marketing channels.
Outside of work, Alex and his wife of almost 12 years are usually busy chauffeuring around their two young kids – Maya and Mason. Alex lives in the Nashville area and enjoys traveling all over the world, triathlons, and a good beer.
Kristi has over 25 years of Human Resources experience with a specialty in process improvement. She has worked in various HR roles throughout her career in distribution, manufacturing, and home services. Prior to joining Leap Partners, she worked in the security industry at ADS Security where she specialized in acquisition integration.
Born and raised in Mt. Juliet, TN, Kristi lives on her family’s 35-acre farm where she grew up. She has been married to her husband John for 10 years and they have 2 children – Jackson and Journey. When she isn’t at work, she enjoys time with family preferably near the water on a boat or on the beach.
Jacob graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Accounting. However, he started working at Leap Partners as the General Manager of Tim Ferguson Plumbing, Air & Electric in Jackson, TN, where he spent 14 years working in, running, and leading that family business.
Jacob then moved over to help lead the Accounting Department. As Controller at Leap Partners, he draws on his extensive operational experience to
lead financial and accounting functions, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial management.
When not at work, Jacob enjoys traveling with his wife Mitzi and their three daughters. He is a musician, golfer, and sports fan.
Mitch has more than a decade of experience in the HVAC and plumbing industry. Before Joining Leap Partners, he was general manager of the northern middle Tennessee territory for Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical. Before that role, he led Hiller’s efforts in developing and implementing the company’s training programs.
At Leap Partners, Mitch manages the Northern region of companies and also manages the ServiceTitan setup and implementation for each company.
Mitch is a Nashville, TN native and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is an avid sports fan who enjoys watching his boys learn and plan the sports he grew up playing.
Ben Scott is a home service industry veteran of over 20 years. He has held a variety of roles including sales, branch and regional management, and president. All leading to his current role in the M&A and Regional VP side of our business. Ben has been with Leap Service Partners since late 2022 and currently leads business development and manages the southeast region of companies.
When not at work, you will find Ben spending time with his wife Dede, daughter Taylor, and son Jordan. Ben also enjoys golf, listening to books, and eating good food.
Paul first laid his hands on ductwork in 1995 when his brother-in-law introduced him to “V” in HVAC one summer. Since 1997, Paul has done nothing but HVAC. He landed at Conditioned Air Solutions in 2005, where he helped grow the business into one of the leading HVAC companies in northern Alabama. In 2022 Paul and his partners sold Conditioned Air Solutions to Leap Partners. Paul has since been promoted to the role of Regional VP, helping new branches grow and break through walls. Paul also holds Master Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC licenses.
When not at work, you will find Paul at the ball field cheering on his two children who are serious baseball and softball athletes. If games are rained out, you’ll find him clearing trails or riding ATV’s on his land nicknamed “Red Mud Ranch.”
Brian’s current role at Leap Partners is to drive financial planning and analysis processes across the enterprise including analytics and business support. Prior to Leap, Brian has held finance and accounting leadership positions at businesses in the manufacturing, healthcare, and service industries. Brian has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Middle Tennessee State University and a Tennessee CPA license.
When not at work, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife Tiffany and three children. They love being outdoors as much as possible, including running and camping.
Keith was co-founder of Conditioned Air Solutions, the first company Leap acquired. With his team, Keith creates and implements the IT strategy, supports branch leaders, and oversees ServiceTitan implementations.
Keith has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and worked as a software engineer and technical manager before starting his first business. Over the years he founded, built, and sold businesses in the software, travel, and home services industries. He enjoys mentoring young people and has served on the board of several non-profits.
Keith has two grown children and three grandchildren. He and his wife Gail are active in their church, enjoy spending time with their growing family, and are building a farm in Grand Bay, AL.
Jonathan graduated Arkansas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He started his career at a small HVAC business In Massachusetts. He then worked as a test engineer for Bosch Home Appliances and then Otis Elevator. Ultimately he grew tired of the corporate bureaucracy and decided to buy a small HVAC business in Chattanooga, TN.
From 2018 to 2022 Jonathan grew Scenic City Heating and AC in Chattanooga from 3 employees to ten and quadrupled revenue before selling to Leap Partners. He continued as general manager for an additional two years before taking on a leadership role on the Branch Support Team helping with inventory tracking and other operations support.
When not at work, Jonathan is likely coaching his kids’ sports teams, shopping for real estate investments, or working on his 1964 AMC Rambler.
Justin sold his business, Paradise Home Services, in 2023 to Leap Partners. He has since started working with other owners in the industry to share his experience building his company, deciding to sell, and then navigating the process of joining a fast-growing group of HVAC and plumbing businesses.
With over 20 years of dedication to the Plumbing & HVAC industry, Justin’s career has spanned all facets—from spearheading startups and bootstrapping to navigating the complexities of acquisitions and sales. At the heart of his passion lies the incredible community within this industry. Being surrounded by remarkable entrepreneurs and witnessing their growth, both personally and professionally, has been the most rewarding aspect.
When he is not busy training, coaching, speaking, and meeting with other owners, he loves spending time with his family — going on hikes, relaxing at the beach, or being out on the boat.
